2004 Section A Welsh Mountain Pony Gelding
Chestnut, blaze, three stockings, flaxen mane and tail
Photo taken as a 2 year old
Location: Mississippi
"Cricket" is a very pretty young gelding, full of Welsh Type, excellent length of rein, and a wonderful mover. He is 11-3+ hands at age 4. We expect him to mature to possibly a little more.

Accomplishments:
2006:
National Champion Year End Hi Point Section A 2/Under Geldings.
Unanimous winner of the 2/Under Section A Gelding class, and Grand Champion/Reserve Grand Champion Section A Gelding, Santa Barbara Nationals 2006. 1st Section A Geldings and Supreme Champion Gelding, Inland Classic Welsh Show, 2006. At the back-to-back Brookside Show and Western Nationals, he was 2nd (behind his half brother, Gaslight London Fog) under both judges and Reserve Champion A Gelding under one at Brookside, and at the Western Nationals, UK judge Simon Bigley placed him 2nd (behind his brother) in a combined class of all age Section A Geldings. At the Hallowe'en Haunt Gold show in October, he was awarded Res. Grand Champion Section A Gelding under one of the judges.
2005:
Limited showing. Tied (with his half sibling) for 6th Nationally in Section A 2/Under Geldings in 2005.
Training:
Criced is currently in training under saddle, English and Western, and over fences with Suzan Stevens in MS. He will also be trained to cart. He is destined to be an elegant ride or drive pony.
Price is based on current status of training. Contact us for current information.

Gaslight London Fog
2004 Section A Welsh Mountain Pony Gelding
Chestnut sabino roan, wide blaze, four high stockings, heavy roaning throughout, flaxen mane and tail -- definitely one that won't get lost in a crowd!
Reserve National Champion Year End Hi Point Section A 2/Under Geldings, only a few points behind his half sibling, Gaslight Criced. Tied (with Criced, his half sibling) for 6th Nationally in Section A 2/Under Geldings in 2005, and in 2006, he continues to place just behind his brother, taking unanamous 2nd in Section A Gelding at the Santa Barbara Nationals, then the following month, was 2nd in Section A Geldings, followed by Reserve Supreme Champion Gelding at the Inland Welsh Classic. At the back-to-back Brookside Show and Western Nationals, he was first under both judges and Champion A Gelding under one at Brookside, and at the Western Nationals, UK judge Simon Bigley placed him first in a combined class of all age Section A Geldings. At the Hallowe'en Haunt Gold show in October, he was awarded Res. Grand Champion Section A Gelding under one of the judges.
"Munch" is a very large A, almost 12 hands at age two, possibly will exceed that height. He has tremenous bone and substance, bred for performance from one of our best halter and performance mares. He has an incredible stride, long, reaching and flat, and free jumps over 3 feet with great form. He is started under saddle, not appropriate for a beginner, needs a confident, skilled rider to bring him to his full potential. We would prefer a Welsh show home, as he has too much potential to waste in a backyard.

Section A Fillies and Mares For Sale

We have had three filies to date in 2008, with three more mares left to foal. Refer to the 2008 Foals list below for updates on fillies available as the year progresses.

Section A Colts and Stallions For Sale

None Available at this time. Refer to the 2008 Foals list below for updates on colts as the year progresses.

2008 Section A and C Foals:

*Ceulan Lwcus x *Synod Aurora
GASLIGHT AMBER
Foaled 1/20/o8-- Dark chastnut Section C filly
This is the first foal for our imported Section C mare. We are quite excited about this first C foal, as it marks a point in our breeding program where we have begun the C portion of our program. We chose to breed her to our own Section A stallion for this first foal, to "prove" her ability to settle, rather than investing in transported semen from one of the exceptional C stallions we will use in the future. Lwcus' lovely head and exceptional Mountain Pony Type added nice pony quality to this cross.
At this point, Amber is planned to be retained at Gaslight Farm and will show in 2008. We will consider selling her to a serious Welsh show home only.

*Wharley Magic Flute x *Ceulan Lydia
GASLIGHT LERI (name pending)
Chestnut Section A Colt, sold to Jan Baker, WA
Two outstanding halter and performance ponies, this cross produced two palomino fillies which have matured beautifully.
This breeding was requested and sold in advance.

*Ceulan Lwcus x Chaparral's Crystal
We will repeat the breeding after she foals this year. It has been such an outstanding cross that we will continue to breed her as long as she graces us with another fertile year. Below is a referance photo of her 2006 filly, which we retained.

Gaslight Cinderella -- This filly is a full sister of Gaslight Chwyrlwynt LOM/AOE, winner of multiple national championships in 2005 and 2006. (Referance photo only -- NOT FOR SALE)

*Ceulan Lwcus x Gaslight Siwgr Baby
GASLIGHT SIOCLED KISS
Chestnut Filly, foaled Valentine's Day, will be retained and shown by Gaslight Farm
Very heavily Coed Coch-bred mare, a halter and multiple performance champion under saddle and in cart, she produced Gasligfht Sweet Surrender, currently being successfully shown under saddle and over fences, on the "A" Hunter circuit as well as WPCSA, with multiple hunter and Supreme Champion Gelding wins to his credit. This cross combines classic Coed Coch with old Revel breeding, for a pony with the potential to be as successful in the show ring as in a breeding barn. We will probably breed her again in 2009, to Lwcus or possibly to his son, Galsight Lancelot. Her 2009 foal will be available for purchase inutero.

*Ceulan Lwcus x *Ceulan (J) Bounce
Bounce is a phenomenal producer, dam of the 2005 National Hi Point Champion Section A Colt, who was also Reserve Champion in 2004. Bounce has two "legs" of her Dam LOM. Ridden lightly in her early years, never shown under saddle because her foals have been too much in demand. They are rarely available after foaling as they are generally reserved inutero.

*Ceulan Lwcus x *Ceulan Lynette
Confirmed in foal.
Maiden mare, an in hand winner in the UK and USA, multiple championships to her credit. Daughter of a Royal Welsh winner, who is a full sister of our top-winning performance mare, *Ceulan Lorelei. Granddaughter of Trefaes Taran.
This breeding has been reserved.

*Ceulan Lwcus x *Wharley Silver Charm
GASLIGHT SEREN ARIAN (name pending)
Chestnut Filly, large star
Her dam is a winner of multiple in-hand championships, trained to ride, predominently Coed Coch breeding. We were so pleased with her first foal, Gaslight Shamrock, that we retained him as our junior stallion and is currently showing in carriage. This foal is a full sibling and is regretably for sale, because of space limitations only. Serious show home preferred!
$2,000 until weaning

*Ceulan Lwcus x *Ceulan Lorelei
Confirmed in foal.
A repeat of a very successful cross. This foal will not be for sale in utero, as we wish to retain her next filly. We will accept reservations for it if it is a colt. This cross has all the potential of producing a top quality pony and a superior performance gelding. Lorelei's 2004 colt, Gaslight London Fog, was the 2006 Reserve National Champion Section A Gelding 2/Under. (His half brother by Lwcus was the Champion.) Another full sibling, Gaslight Lancelot, was standing at stud in MI but will be returning to Gaslight Farm by the end of 2007. For more information, see his individual page under Stallions.

Section A Mares that may be available for breeding in 2008, upon request:

All of our mares can be bred upon request in 2008. Our older mares, Gaslight Siwgr Baby, Chaparral's Crystal, and *Ceulan Lorelei, will be bred each year as long as they will continue to produce for us. We have not yet decided if any of the younger mares will be bred in 2008. We would like to complete the training on some who have been started and get them out on the show ring, if possible.

In addition to the mares listed above as in foal for 2008, the following mares may be available.

*Ceulan Cerys - shown under saddle for a year on a local Quarter Pony circuit, Cerys won a Hi Point saddle for us. Her first foal is being shown in performance, her second took a Reserve Supreme at her first show at age 5 months. Her 2004 colt Gaslight Criced is showing well in halter, already placing Grand Champion Section A Gelding and Supreme Champion Gelding as a two year old. He was the 2006 National Champion Section A 2/Under Geldings. We expect him to complete another "leg" for his sire's LOM in 2007.

Gaslight Siwgr Bear - A Lwcus daughter out of Gaslight Siwgr Baby, combining Coed Coch and old Revel lines. Bear is beginning her training in harness and should be part of our performance show string in 2008.
